As of present, over 5,000 students worldwide have attended S2 Institute programs focusing on managing active shooter risk. In addition to public courses, S2 has developed and presented custom versions of the Risk Management and The Active Shooter seminar for numerous organizations including the CEO Council of Tampa Bay, Diocese of St. Petersburg, FCCMA, National Apartment Association, SAIS, Tampa Jewish Federation, and more.
Information in the S2 Risk Management and The Active Shooter seminar was adapted from the S2 Institute’s Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) program and expanded with the inclusion of workplace violence and school security measures.

S2 ATO Program is adopted by OSCE for training government security professionals in the Caucasus region
S2 ATO Program is adopted by US DoD for training Saudi and American base security personnel
S2 is contracted by US Army to train AT/FP personnel on CONUS military installations
S2 trains US Capital Police and PFPA personnel as ATO's at the US Senate
S2 ATO Program is adopted for protecion of US critical infrastructure
S2 Anti-Terrorism Officer Program is created
In addition to the standard version of the S2 Risk Management and The Active Shooter seminar, S2 has developed a number of custom variations of the course for private client groups. These custom variations of the program spotlight attacks against facilities of relevance in addition to focusing on countermeasures and issues of unique concern.
