Robert van der Haas is the President of Advanced Security Intelligence (The Hague, Netherlands) as well as an S2 Institute instructor and consultant of Security Intelligence, Counterintelligence, Insider threat profiling, Terrorism Risk Assessment and Change Management.

Prior to his current position, Mr. van der Haas served a number of positions with the Government of the Netherlands and private corporations in capacities related to counterintelligence and diplomacy.

Mr. van der Haas has an M.A. in History from the University of Amsterdam and an advanced certificate in Terrorism Studies from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
Prior to his official retirement he was also the Head of Intelligence & Counterterrorism working group for the European Security & Intelligence Foundation (ESIF) and ESIF Chairman of the Examination Committees for Terrorist Profiling, Intelligence Driven Security, and Security Profiling.
